BioChem AGROLOGIA is certified in GLP by the National Accreditation Authority ENAC (BPL069) to perform studies in compliance with GLP principles established by EU and OECD in the areas of expertise:
We can perform trials in our own farm and we also have a close relationship with farmers from neighbouring areas.
We also owe a station in the North of Spain, a very good area where all the typical crops from that area can be found to perform any type of trials, residue or efficacy.
Ability to work with all types of crops for mild climate and sub-tropical climate, such as cotton, mango, avocado, rice (35,000 ha), also common crops as cereals, root and tuber crops, oil and textile plants, legumes, tree crops, berries, open field and greenhouse vegetables.
Residue trials are conducted in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and are required as part of the authorization procedure for plant protection products. Trials on residue behaviour are necessary to determine the level of residues and to assess the consequences of these on the health of man and animal. The selective preparation of supervised field trials is necessary in order to take account of the wide range and diversity of available techniques and methods which include those used to select, treat and analyse samples. The data obtained serve to define Maximum Residue Levels, and to ensure consumer protection.
With an expertise of more than 20 years, BioChem AGROLOGIA performs field trials under greenhouse conditions and field conditions in a wide variety of crops.
Depending on the study requirements, trials can be performed either in our farm or in local farms from associated farmers and growers who are familiar with the product's requirements.
Design of studies:
These studies are performed to determine the amount of pesticide residues which may be accumulated into rotational crops via soil uptake following realistic agricultural practices.
BioChem AGROLOGIA has longstanding experience conducting trials on rotational crops. These kind of trials are conducted with a special care and maintenance by our team. Therefore, we can ensure the quality of the performed trials.
The dislodgeable foliar residue (DFR) is defined as the amount of pesticide residue that can be dislodged from the two-sided foliar surface of a plant during a well-defined procedure. It is used, together with worker exposure determinations, to calculate transfer coefficients for workers re-entering treated crops. Leaf discs are collected with a Birkestrand leaf punch sampler.
BioChem AGROLOGIA is qualified and equipped for performing Dislodgeable Foliar Residue (DFR) trials on a different crop variety, such as citrus, grapes, strawberry, pepper…
