Quality is our main goal

BioChem AGROLOGIA has been working on the development of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Experimental Practice (GEP) tests for many years, with a long and proven expertise in Spain and the rest of Europe.

Since January 2020, the company (formerly called Agrología SLU) is part of the BioChem group of companies, and works closely with BioChem agrar, one of Europe's leading companies in the areas of ecotoxicology, field trials and analysis.

As Agrología our trajectory began in 1993, being one of the first companies in Spain to obtain in 1997 the certificate of Good Experimental Practice (GEP) to perform officially recognised trials, and in 1998 the certificate of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) both being essential for national and European registration on plant protection products.

With an expertise of more than 25 years working on crop protection,we have carried out officially recognized tests not only in Spain, but also in France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, The UK, Poland, Italy, Greece, Austria, Denmark, Hungary and The Czech Republic. In 2010 we extended the scope of our GLP certification to Effects on Non-target Organism (4) to carry out ecotoxicology tests, currently essential at the moment for the registration of products that are environmentally friendly and fauna friendly.

BioChem AGROLOGIA, as in the past, will continue providing specific services related to the agriculture and related industries in order to support registration of agrochemical products in Spain and the rest of Europe.

Certifications - GEP & GLP

The primary aim of Good Experimental Practice (GEP) is to ensure that high-quality trials are conducted. This ensures that results can be used by different registration authorities (mutual recognition, zonal evaluation). GEP is concerned with the management of efﬁcacy evaluation trials and with the conditions under which trials should be planned, conducted, assessed, recorded and interpreted so that their results should be comparable and reliable.

Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is concerned with the organisational guidance and conditions which attend the planning, implementation and surveillance of investigations. It also invigilates the keeping of records and the presentation of investigation protocol.

BioChem AGROLOGIA has been certified in GEP by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (EOR 26/97) and has been certified in GLP by the National Accreditation Authority ‘ENAC’ (BPL069) in the following areas:
